Mobile Google News (Beta)

Google has just announced the release of Google News for mobiles. This would fill that niche users used to fill using mobile RSS readers. This is a much more neater solution as people already rely on Google News when not on the road (or in the train).
Google has been agressively targeting the mobile space for a while now, and with good reason. People are becoming more and more connected, so it makes sense to provide mobile friendly versions of the tools people have come to depend on when at the desk.

A brief about the Verisign .COM money scam

Stumbled upon a interesting article by BobParsons.com. Highlighting the main points in the domain industry and how it works, the article explains a big scam by Verisign.

….. there are about 48 million .COM domain names. Using historical and current growth rates we expect the .COM registry to exceed 60 million names at the end of 2006. At the current rate of $6.00 per name (this is what all registrars are charged – registrars in turn either discount or mark up this price to arrive at what the registrant is charged) VeriSign will take in $360 million dollars to operate the .COM registry this year……

……That increases VeriSign’s annual cash take from $360 to $450 million dollars………
